Helm Godfrey Partners Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, was formed in June 1999 out of a merger of five IFA firms. Since then seven other firms have been acquired and/or integrated and a number of very experienced individual advisers have also joined. Helm Godfrey is operating currently from 12 locations, including London, the Home Counties, Midlands and NW England, with 37 advisers and 27 support personnel. There are 10,000 active individual clients and 100 corporate clients with a further 40,000 clients on the database. On 5th March this year Helm Godfrey Partners Ltd. won the "IFA of the Year Award 2008" at the annual Money Marketing ceremony, having been interviewed and selected from a final shortlist of nine firms. The award citation read: "This was a category with an excellent array of different models of adviser, but the panel felt that this firm should get the top prize because of its commitment to high quality advice and a modern approach to planning. This is demonstrated in both the philosophy and the practice of the firm with ambitions to expand". Then, on 23rd April, we won the "Large Life and Pensions IFA of the Year Award 2008" at the annual Financial Adviser/Financial Times luncheon.
